Long Play Mode – Good or Bad?

dvcam.jpgSome camcorder’s have this nifty feature that allows you to save more video onto your DV tape (as much as 30 minutes more). There is quite problem though for the tape tends to record slower than the normal rate it is designed to, there is a very good possibility of having lost frames as you record video. Reviewing a piece of video in Long play mode and at standard rate would reveal the difference in lost frames. If you aim to gather high quality footage with your camcorder, better get more tapes than squeezing more video onto your tape. It not only guarrantees good video, it is also the way the camcorder is meant to function as well as the tape.
