Fortunately, Premiere offers sophisticated tools for getting the sound right. We’ve already discussed how to add new sound tracks to the timeline. Now you need to understand how to adjust each sound track so that everything sounds perfect. On every sound track, there is an arrow icon. Clicking it will expand the view and make an adjustment area for the sound track available. What you will normally do is listen to the sound track and “even out” or “sweeten” the sound by adjusting things so that the sound is uniform throughout your entire piece. -Source

WMM is video creating/editing software that is included in recent versions of Microsoft Windows. It contains features such as effects, transitions, titles/credits, audio track, timeline narration, and Auto Movie. The “Drag and Drop” technique is applied here. New effects and transitions can be made and existing ones can be modified using XML code. You can freely import existing files to your storyboard. The accepted formats for import are .WMV/.ASF, .MPG (MPEG-1), .AVI (DV-AVI), .WMA, .WAV, and .MP3.

Linear Editing consists of three main categories:

1. In-Camera Editing:
Here the video shots are prepared in a way that they are shot in order and of correct time length. This process does not require any additional equipment other than the Camera recorder itself, but it does require good shooting and organizational skills at the time of the shoot.

Linear video editing has three main categories. In-camera editing involves taking shots in correct order and length using no other equipment but the camcorder. This requires good shooting and organizational skills.

Assemble Editing involves taking shots in no specific order during shooting. Afterwards, those shots that are not needed are removed and the remaining ones are assembled. This category uses at least a camcorder and VCR.

Assemble editing has two types – roll editing and insert editing. Insert editing involves the recording of new material over existing footage. Here, the unwanted part of the footage is “overwritten” with a new one.
