Video Tricks
Want to make your video interesting? why not try your hand at sub-titles instead of narratives which have been over-used and abused. Most video editing software have such facilities that would indeed make it more interesting by getting your audience to watch and read at the same time, infusing it with humor should it be necessary. Even a serious situation or event can be turned into a lighter one with humor and the best speakers in the world knows this. One problem you have with video is that unlike live speaking in front of the audience where you can take in the over all reaction of your audience, making necessary adjustments should it be necessary (say, jokes when everybody seems to be bored or some other gimmick), in a video, the raction of your audience can be obscure from you so proper preparation is necessary. Want good styles, watch ones made by professionals so you can get some tips from the experts themselves.
One of the worst situations would be to have you caught without ample light, say when the sun is setting and you still have the bulk of your filming to do. Adjusting the light balance can improve some shots that are still quite crisp yet were hidden by shadows or the setting sun. You can play around with all the aspects of your shots but if the going gets too dark even for proper color/contrast adjustments, do away with it and shift to the next scene.
