Inserting clips you forgot
One great thing about digital video editing is that errors can be easily remedied. For example, if you’ve already finished your cut of the video you’ve edited but suddenly realized that you forgot to add in a scene then you can just go back and insert the scene you’ve forgotten to add.
Inserting scenes is very important because it can actually help in changing the whole tone or atmosphere of the video you’re working on. Go to your rough cut and watch it. If you think adding certain scenes in certain parts of the video will improve its flow or make things more understandable then don’t hesitate to add additional scenes taken from your raw footage.
